10 Exceptional First-Person Shooter Games That Defined The Last 10 Years

4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Everyone has their favorite entry in the COD series, but mine happens to be Call of Duty Modern: Warfare 3 - for several notable reasons. The highlight of the game has to be its well-thought out campaign, of course. Being able to see through the eyes of different soldiers gives you a different perspective and enables you to look upon the beautiful landscapes that you constantly find yourself surrounded by. However, if the campaign mode isn't enough for you, the Spec Ops mode will be sure to please. This mode debuted in Modern Warfare 2, but it's in Modern Warfare 3 where it found itself feeling perfected, factoring in an additional 16 one-off missions that let you dig deeper into the campaign. The missions aren't very long, but they don't really need to be. The mere option of having these missions makes it all the more memorable an experience, though. If you're an online player, the multiplayer mode is just as fun as the campaign mode. Whether you're playing with buddies or randoms, it never gets old - watch as the hours just rack up.
