Stanley Parable 4 Perhaps one of the only video games ever released that's actually about video games, Galactic Cafe's 'walking sim' The Stanley Parable provides players with an incredibly funny and surprising twist on the clichéd video game tropes everyone knows and loves. Without giving too much away, this indie title is all about playing with expectations of the player; from video game narration to the illusion of choice, this short, quirky experience manages to deconstruct everything you thought you knew about video games in a charming and original way. With some of the best writing that you can find in the medium this side of Portal, there's really no reason to not pick this up, but if you were on the fence you could always check out the game's demo that gives you an amazing taste of some of the surprises this innovative little gem has to offer .
