Death in the 41st millenium is random, pointless, and never ending. So being able to see it coming would give you some comfort or at least a good shot at trying to avoid it right? Not if you're Konrad Kurze, gene-son of the Emperor and Primarch of the traitorous Night Lords Legion.

Gifted with the powers of foresight he saw his own death coming a mile off, and rather than take steps to avoid it, he went completely mad and leaned into the series of events that would lead to his demise. Hard.

This turned him into a pitiful and monstrously fractured individual who's idea of a slap on the wrist was flaying you alive and hanging your corpse from a street lamp. Rather than actively fight against his visions of the future and try to make the universe a better place, or at least pass on knowledge to aid those coming after him, he let himself become a wretched creature of depravity and violence which finally lead to the end he had always envision. And worst of all he went out believing his misguided world view right until his very end.
