A tyrannical leader preaching about building the new Roman Empire in a post-apocalyptic wasteland is not something we're used to seeing everyday, but that is exactly what makes Caesar one of the most colourful video game villains in history.

In Fallout: New Vegas, the leader of the Legion is a devout believer in self-sacrifice and hard graft as a means of keeping society stable. His demands mean his subjects are kept in the mud, however his no-nonsense and intelligence has certainly endeared him to plenty of players since the game's release.

And there's plenty of evidence to suggest that Caesar's tyrannical cult of personality is proving its worth across the wastelands. Much like the iron-fisted Roman Empire in real life, regions controlled by Caesar's Legion are by far the safest to traverse in the game after all.

He also commands a huge amount of respect from those in the Legion around him, with his staunch belief in imperialism and his own single culture providing a path through the apocalypse for those in need of it.
