10 Forgotten Platform Game Gems You Should Be Playing

5. Super Star Wars Series

super-star-wars-return-of-the-jedi-07Developer: Lucasarts Year: 1993-1995 Availability: SNES, Wii Virtual Console The Super Star Wars games killed many an hour in my younger days: though they take many (MANY) liberties with the stories that everybody knows, the ability to play as your favorite star wars characters is enough to attract any Star Wars fan. You play as Luke, Han, Chewbacca and in the last game, Leia and Wicket, to bring down the evil Empire. Switching between Blasters and Light sabers to take down enemies keeps the action from getting stale, and challenging platforming adds a level of skill requirement to the game. The games do suffer from some pretty frustrating vehicular levels, but those are few and far between. A word to the wise though, these games are incredibly difficult. Like, make you cry difficult. http://youtu.be/NXBv73Iu010
