4. I-Ninja

Developer: Argonaut Games Year: 2003 Availability: Gamecube, PS2, Xbox, Windows Starring none other than Futurama's Billy West, I-Ninja is one of the most varied action platformer games ever made. The meat of the game is hack n slash ninja butt kicking action using a magical ninja sword, poison darts, throwing stars and even magic. The enemies are pretty repetitive, but the platforming is what makes the game special: from basic jumping from one place to another, to parkour, to grappling hooks, hovering sword abilities, monkey-ball style rolling levels, first person shooting, stunt tracks and more, there is not much that I-Ninja does not do. The levels are varied, covering just about every local you could think of, and the boss battles between worlds play completely differently than the rest of the game. The story is almost non existent, but the comedic writing makes up for it. The game is 10 years old, but the varied gameplay makes is still feel fresh.
