Developer: Videlectrix Year: 2008 Availability: Free Browser Game If you grew up in the early 2000s, chances are you are at least somewhat familiar with Homestar Runner. Posting weekly cartoon episodes starring a regular cast of crazy characters, homestarrunner.com quickly became one of the most popular sites on the Internet. Perhaps best known for their references and parodies to 80s and 90s pop culture, the site started producing retro style games in parody of well known franchises. Most of the games were simple few minute games, until 20XD6 that is. In the style of Megaman, 20XD6 features 20 levels of fantastic platforming and shooting action. The games graphical style is completely believable as an 8-bit game, as is the music. Punctuated with non sequitur humor and wacky characters, the game is great even if you have no familiarity with the source materiel.
