10 Games Hidden In Other Games
8. Old School MediEvil - MediEvil (2019)
MediEvil is a classic PlayStation game about an undead knight named Sir Daniel Fortesque who is brought back to life to defeat the evil wizard Zarok.
In 2019, the game was remade for the PlayStation 4 with brand-spanking new graphics and improvements to the gameplay, bringing this classic adventure back from the dead and into the new era.
Still, the fans of the original MediEvil might feel a bit nostalgic about the clanky charm of the original PlayStation 1 release and may want to re-experience it just the way it was.
Luckily, the remake has a solution for this with a trip down memory lane hidden inside its very files.
It turns out that on top of recreating the original game to fit the standards of modern productions, the 2019 MediEvil also features a fully playable version of the 1998 release, complete with sharp polygonal graphics and old controls.
To unlock this version, you have to complete all of the objectives of the Lost Souls in the main game. This will cause a new option called “Old Game” to show up in the menu screen, allowing you to experience the classic MediEvil just the way your nostalgia remembers it!
