1. Neil Patrick Harris - Saint’s Row
The absolutely bonkers Saint’s Row series wears its celebrity cameos on its sleeve. For example, Keith David (that’s Vice President Keith David) and Rowdy Roddy Piper weren’t going to end up here, because the game is intentionally in your face with them.
Sometimes though, they played it a bit more subtle. For example, Johnny Gat is Lost and Hawaii 5-0 star Daniel Dae Kim, while the late Michael Clarke Duncan played rival boss Benjamin King. Of all of them though, Neil Patrick Harris’ is probably the strangest.
Lightbulb smoking crackhead DJ Veteran Child was played by the How I Met Your Mother star, adding yet another eccentric role to his already expansive collection. After previously appearing in American Horror Story, The Smurfs, Gone Girl and Harold & Kumar, Harris is clearly an actor aiming for a wide résumé.
It’s not even the only time he’s ever featured in a game, also voicing Spider-Man in Shattered Dimensions. Certainly a man who gets around then, and one who might make any extra replaying of Saint’s Row that little bit more interesting.
