As one of the best value-for-money games there is, Stardew Valley is a time-sink like few others and it is perfect on the Switch.
Stardew Valley is a game made by one man, Eric Barone, and as such is a testament to passion, hard-work, and ingenuity. It's a beautiful, charming game that combines the best parts of Harvest Moon with The Sims, and a dash of Animal Crossing for good measure.
Stardew Valley wears its inspirations on its sleeve, but they're a small part of a larger tattoo; one that combines the sensibilities of old with modern gameplay mechanics, lovable characters and a gameplay loop that quickly sees you eclipse 100 hours without even noticing.
There isn't enough great things to say about Stardew Valley, and creator Eric Barone has continually updated the game, introducing new farm layouts, new town events, and the soon-to-be co-op. This is one of those rare occasions when paying £10.99 for a game will actually make you feel bad, because it's worth so much more.
