10 Greatest Heels In Video Game History
1. Dr. Robotnik - Sonic the Hedgehog
And finally, we have Doctor "Never Gonna Call Him Eggman" Robotnik - the perennial thorn in the side of Sonic the Hedgehog, and who is basically the quintessential video game baddie.
Robotnik is a cartoonishly evil Bad Guy - a mustache-twirling mad scientist with a literally massive Rasputin-esque 'tache who plans to steal the Chaos Emeralds in his quest to dominate the world.
And if that's not bad enough, he also enslaves adorable animals to do his bidding, and seems to loathe anything that's colourful or cuddly.
Robotnik certainly does nothing by a half-measure - throughout the series' he's taken enormous glee in developing wild machines to try and kill Sonic and co. He gets high marks for creativity and drive, even if like Bowser he's typically foiled at the end of each game.
Between his hilariously dastardly schemes and bulbous, yes egg-like design, Robotnik is the perfect yin to Sonic's yang, and to see him played on-screen by Jim Carrey in the recent Sonic movie trilogy was a surreal dream come true for any '90s kid.
