10 Greatest Heels In Video Game History
2. Vaas Montengero - Far Cry 3
Drug-addicted lunatic Vaas Montengero may not have all that much screen time in Far Cry 3, but the guy sure as hell makes every second count.
His iconic "the definition of insanity" speech is seared into the minds of anyone who's ever played the game, and better yet, it straight up feels like a CM Punk pipe bomb promo.
Michael Mando's astonishing performance in the role is hypnotically captivating, and so it's little surprise that Ubisoft basically hinged the game's entire marketing campaign around it.
It's near-impossible to look away from this guy when he's holding court and shooting his piercing gaze at you. Vaas has an explosive volatility that's virtually unmatched in video games, enough that every moment spent in his company is both anxious and exciting.
As players we hang on everything he says and does, because arriving as he did in a time where the mainstream merits of video games as art were still being debated, he felt like a firm answer to the question.
More to the point, he's just way, way more interesting than our comparatively unremarkable protagonist, Jason Brody.
