From heists and gunplay in a frozen village to swashbuckling tales of captured maidens and zombified pirates, the Monkey Island series has always been one with enough character and humour to launch a cartoon show, but here we got the first 3D instalment in an otherwise 2D-centric franchise. Considering the characters involved are some of the most beloved and cherished in any game, Guybrush's separation from Eleanor and LeChuck kickstarted the first of five episodic instalments in the best way possible.
