10 Greatest Superhero Video Games Of All Time

5. Infamous

Superhero fans can be a picky bunch. We like things we're familiar with. Don't change our characters, and be careful when giving us something new.

Infamous, on the other hand, did both of those when it released in 2009. Changing the way we viewed superheroes by giving us a brand new character set in a brand new universe, the story is still one of my favorite superhero-based tales to this day.

On top of that, the concept of the game itself is just incredible.

Imagine this: You're given a character you know little to nothing about - aside from possessing superpowers - and are released into a city, free to decide whether you want to be a hero or villain. It sounds awesome, is even better once you start controlling Cole's array of abilities, and comes together excellently every step of the way.

Granted the ending is a little sketchy, making your decisions feel a bit pointless, but sometimes, it's not the destination that's worth remembering, it's the journey.
