5. Buzz Buzz - Earthbound
While Buzz Buzz isn't exactly groundbreaking in the field of allies - especially in an already character-heavy series like Earthbound - there are certain qualities he possesses that make you really wish you could keep him around.
The main one of these is that he's a goddamn magic bug, he's a bug who is magic, he is both magic and a bug. It's all the dreams your weird child brain ever had when they saw a woodlouse and wished they could somehow commune with its little insect spirit. Also he's from the future, so he's every bizarre but wonderful concept you had after watching Back to the Future while having to take huge amounts of cough syrup, too.
As it stands, Buzz Buzz is a tragically temporary ally, because he is swatted to death by Pokey and Pinchy's mother, who mistakes him for some regular insect nuisance. How little you knew him, Lardna Minch.
