10 Hardest Video Game Achievements Of 2019
6. Wolfenstein: Youngblood - One Woman Army
2019 was a year of many wonderful games, including a few on this list, however, it also contained a few nasty disappointments, the third instalment in the Wolfenstein series being one of them.
What fans were looking for was more ridiculousness set in the Wolfenstein universe, fleshing out the family of BJ, adding depth to previously untouched areas. Instead, we got bland missions and boss fights, repetitive enemy spawns and very little plot. This was seemingly the intended direction, though, as the game looked to be developed as more of a grind, as opposed to the more story focused predecessors.
Grind is the correct word to use when describing the One Woman Army achievement which, requires you to achieve weapon mastery with every weapon in the game. We’re looking at a weird kind of achievement here, one that’s difficult to unlock not because of skill, but time and a lack of fun.
In my entire playthrough, doing as much as I possibly could, I managed to master a total of one weapon. Now, whether or not this achievement wants you to play through the game ten times, I don’t know but I’d much rather give the other two titles a replay.
