10 Heavily Rumoured Video Games We Want To See At E3 2019

E3 will soon be upon us, but which games can fans expect to see?

New Splinter Cell
Ubisoft

We're only a few weeks away from E3 2019 and, while this year's event feels significantly smaller without Sony, it's shaping up to be a pretty exciting showcase for those in attendance.

Ubisoft, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Nintendo, Bethesda, Square Enix, Devolver Digital, and hell, even Kinda Funny, are coming to E3 2019 in a bid to make some headlines.

Not only is this E3 quite unique for the lack of Sony, but it also marks the (probable) final big showcase for current gen consoles. Microsoft has already stated that it will be talking up the next Xbox, but next year will be a full blown showcase of the consoles launching (presumably) in fall 2020.

History would suggest that would make this E3 to be pretty dull. Well, history means little in the gaming industry and, if the rumours mill is to be believed, this E3 could be massive.

There are some massive potential leaks here, alongside some of the worst kept secrets in the industry. So grab your bingo board and let's start taking note of what may be at what is still the most important event in the gaming calendar.

10. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare

New Splinter Cell
Activision

And the prize for least creative title of all time goes to... Call of Duty: Modern Warfare!

It's no secret that another Call of Duty game is in development, and we even knew that it was a Modern Warfare sequel, but few could have predicted what it would have been called.

Of course, it's not uncommon for game studios to revert back to original naming conventions; God of War, Prey, Ratchet & Clank, and Tomb Raider, to name but a few. However this one feels a little stranger because it's even the same sub-title, just minus a number.

Naming idiosyncrasies aside, it is rather exciting to see what the team at Infinity War can come up with. According to Kotaku, who broke the news of the name, the game will serve as a "soft reboot" for the series.

The original Modern Warfare is renowned as a true classic that changed the shooting genre, so there's a lot to live up to. And considering last year's Call of Duty didn't even have a campaign, it will be nice to see that mode return. Expect to see this one back on Microsoft's stage.
