10 Highest-Rated PS4 Exclusives - Ranked From Worst To Best
5. Ratchet & Clank - 85

Without question, the finest remake of all time and a masterclass in how to take an older game and do something demonstrably new with it, whilst retaining that original spirit.
Ratchet & Clank - after years of experimentation to get it accepted as a shooter - finally saw Insomniac design a platformer that doubles as a shooter, simply by holding one of the shoulder buttons to bring the camera in behind Ratchet himself. This let Insomniac indulge both their platforming and level-based tendencies, alongside nice little combat arenas of playful enemies that are fun to blast into pieces.
These guys also specialise in some of the most nutty weapons in gaming history, with the remake introducing a gun that turns foes into pixels, another that forces them into impromptu dance routines and the Sheepinator that... well, you know exactly what that does.
Story-wise, Insomniac position this as a "sequel", with Captain Quark retelling the events of the game and adding his own commentary every now and then. It's so utterly well thought out, loaded with heart and graphically, is a total system showcase.
An essential game, no matter your age.
