10 Honest Truths Xbox One Owners Realise After Buying A PS4
4. PlayStation's "Extras" Have Little To No Appeal
PlayStation Vue, PlayStation Now, PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Music, PlayStation Pizza; put the word "PlayStation" in front of something and it seems Sony won't hesitate to make it. Disclaimer: PlayStation Pizza is not real, although it would probably be the most interesting of the lot.
It may be different being a long time Sony fan, but from the outside looking in, all these extra features are just not that interesting.
PlayStation Vue is just there to replace your cable subscription, and costs anywhere from $30 to $65 a month. Then there's PlayStation Now, previously discussed as Sony's answer to fans wanting backwards compatibility on the PS4. While the feature does make over 400 titles streamable to your PS4 at any time, it also comes at a $100 annual cost. Throw in PlayStation Plus for $60 a year and all these extras are costing you nearly $200 annually.
With an Xbox One your primary console and the PS4 just your secondary choice, $200 a year, on top of the cost of new releases is just too steep. PlayStation Now is actually a very good idea on paper, but the fact Microsoft is allowing backwards compatibility for free and PlayStation Now comes with a $100 annual cost makes it way too hard to jump on board with.
