3. The Thing (The Thing)

The Thing would slot effortlessly into Infected mode in Ghosts, with the main change being that when a player is infected by The Thing, other players are not told about it. In fact, players aren't even told who the original host is, so it pays for whichever player becomes the parasite to make their kills quietly, as it will allow them to easier infiltrate every player in the server. The match would end when either every human player has been infected, or if the parasite has been wiped out. There should be added tension in that players can commit friendly fire against other human players, but of course, you may well end up killing a friendly human and make things harder for yourself. This would perfectly reflect the paranoid tone of the movie. As for those playing as the parasites, they are able to transform at will to the pure Thing form, though they will not be able to return to resembling a human until they kill another player, taking on his or her likeness. This one has a certain natural balance to it, and would build superbly on the already brilliant Infected mode.
