7. Half-Life 3 And The Last Guardian

The games that we want to believe are in development, but so far there's been almost diddly-squat confirming them, yet it'll never stop fans old and new discussing every facet of their potential existence - as we're sure they must be coming eventually. First up Half-Life 3, Valve were on a roll with the first main sequel and a string of additional chapters, but somewhere along the way word on the final part of the trilogy went quiet, then dark, and now it's just whispers in the night. We did hear that it's at least in development from an ex-Valve employee who let slip that he'd seen some concept materials and the like, but aside from that Valve themselves haven't said a word. The Last Guardian on the other hand was initially confirmed as being in development back in 2007, making a killer showing at 2009's E3 conference, before seemingly falling off the face of the earth. We've gone so far as to label it as 'Cancelled' as there's just nothing out there to confirm otherwise, but if it is still out there with what'll be eight years in development, it should rear its feathered-head at one of the many conferences next year.
