10 Iconic Video Games That Could Be Made Perfect With Remakes

8. The Warriors

One of the greatest licensed games of all time, Rockstar's version of the 1979 Walter Hill classic oozes style and character - yet it's rarely brought up when discussing the developer's greatest hits.

Bringing back the actors from the original film to voice their video game counterparts, The Warriors was a surprisingly faithful adaptation of a classic movie at a time where similar titles were being churned out to make a quick buck off whatever upcoming film or TV show licenses publishers could get their hands on.

In short, it was a complete gamble, and unfortunately that meant the title didn't reach the commercial heights of the developer's other franchises.

But like most games from Rockstar's stable the adaptation was built on an engaging core gameplay system where brawling and street fights were king, and with the reverence the studio has built up today there's no doubt it would go down as a Rockstar classic if a remake were to hit shelves.

The Warriors is a loving recreation of a classic '70s movie, and deserves to be remembered as fondly as its movie counterpart.
