10 Most Inappropriate Video Games Of All Time

9. God Of War You wouldn€™t sit down in front of a God Of War game with your mum on a Sunday afternoon as you gouge out a Chimera€™s eyes with its own horn, rip off Helios€™ head with your bare hands or drive a gigantic barb through the head of the Hydra, even if the violence of the series can €“ in a way €“ be justified as there is no avoiding the fact that the world of Greek myth is a dark, violent place where strength will inevitably triumph over all else. However, the intensity and frequency of the acts of violence are certainly inappropriate. God of War must be the title from the series to be nominated for this list as it was the pioneer. Prior to SCE releasing their superb game, the main cultural perspectives of Greek mythology we had were through far less graphic pieces of media like Disney€™s Hercules, Ensemble Studios' Age of Mythology and the amazing stop-motion effects of Ray Harryhausen. Then along came God of War which for the first time showed how in Ancient Greece you€™d better hope you keep a sharp blade. Aside from the violence, early in the game the dirty-minded among you will remember THAT mini-game where you control Kratos in bed with two luscious strumpets, hitting all the buttons at the right time to ensure the Ghost of Sparta didn€™t disappoint in the sack. Is God Of War inappropriate? Yes, most definitely €“ but who cares when you€™re cleaving guys in half with Chains of Olympus?
