2. You Better Watch Out - Hitman: Blood Money
As a kid, I have a vivid memory of going into a store in my hometown and being genuinely frightened to my core by a creepy Santa wannabee staring at me from his very cheap looking chair. I remember his eyes looking like there were cutting right through me, to the point that if I was able to articulate my words better, I would have told my dad "father this man appears to wish me harm, I suggest you accost him post-haste"
That cold-eyed stare and almost lack of remorse haunted me for days after, and it's a gaze I've only ever seen once since, and that was in the eyes of Agent 47, making this tangental tale all the more strange when I reveal that playing AS this dead-eyed assassin in Hitman: Blood Money's brilliant Christmas themed level "You Better Watch Out" is one of my all-time gaming highs.
This level is so perfectly designed it's impossible not to smile ear to ear while socializing with scantily clad seductresses, donning the guise of Old Saint Nick to shoot some pricks in their dicks, and most strange of all, sedating dogs so they don't count as witnesses. Brilliant stuff.
