10 Incredible Warhammer Video Games Every Fan Should Play

6. Warhammer 40k: Inquisitor - Martyr

No one expects the Imperial Inquisition.

Inquisitor puts the player in the shoes of a member of the Imperium’s secret police force in charge of holding back the forces of Chaos. Once the player chooses one of four available starting classes, which later on branch into further specializations, they are pressed into action in the Caligari Sector.

The game is composed of quick levels perfect for quick or extended play sessions. Missions are chosen from the bridge of the title Inquisitor’s ship, which also contains vendors in order to buy and sell the copious amounts of loot the player will come across.

Different kinds of weapons and abilities allow for you to find your preferred play style. Rocket launchers attached to your armor and sniper rifles allow for you to keep your distance; but if you prefer to get up close and personal you’re free to wade into daemons and heretics wielding power swords and hammers.

The game was met with mediocre reviews that pointed to repetitive combat and enemy design as possible negatives. If you’ve been craving Diablo-esque gameplay in the 40k universe Inquisitor Martyr is very much worth your time
