8. Darth Malak - Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic
Okay, nobody in Star Wars should act surprised when a Sith doesn't fight fair and square. But in Knights of the Old Republic, Darth Malak proved he was skilful enough to take you on in a straight lightsaber duel. However, Malak becomes frustrated after you best him in battle repeatedly, forcing your former apprentice to try a new strategy.
As you arrive in the final arena, Malak reveals he has stored the bodies of eight Jedi, intending to feed off their Force energy to maintain his power. Sure enough, every time you perform ample damage to Malak, your jawless foe will use the Jedis' energy to replenish his health.
Now, fighting Malak with one health bar is tough. Fighting Malak with eight extra health bars is borderline impossible! Because of this, the only realistic way you can vanquish your darkside'd foe is to destroy the Jedi remains before he has a chance to rejuvenate himself.
However, you can't just run away for the whole encounter, meaning you'll have to face him once or twice before you make your last stand. As a result, it's likely he'll revitalise himself at least a couple of times before he bites the dust.
