The Batman: Arkham series is pretty much infamous when it comes to unsolved mysteries. The most well-known of these is the hidden room in Batman: Arkham Asylum's warden's office that players discovered only after the developers revealed its existence.

Luckily, the fans were more successful with deciphering the hidden message from Calendar Man in Batman: Arkham City, although it also took them several infuriating years filled with all the questions but no answers.

Shortly after Arkham City hit the shelves, some of the players discovered that if you changed your device's clock to the date when Rocksteady, the studio behind the Arkham series, was created (13 December 2004, if you're curious), it caused Calendar Man to deliver a special message: "I was there in the beginning, and I'll be there at your end."

The cryptic nature of these words has stirred quite the conversation among the series fans, but their definitive true meaning was finally discovered years later with the release of Arkham Knight.

In the game's ending, spoiler alert, as Bruce Wayne's manor blows up, you can see Calendar Man within the crowd watching the explosion and the definitive end of Batman's myth.

It turns out his "being at your end" was more literal than everyone thought.
