10 INSULTING Nintendo Switch Games

1. Hogwarts Legacy

It’s difficult to deny everything Hogwarts Legacy has accomplished. Since the Harry Potter franchise first started gathering its world-conquering momentum, fans dreamed of a video game that would do it justice; that would allow them to freely explore Hogwarts Castle and its grounds.

Harry Potter has generally fared rather well in terms of game adaptations, but an RPG adventure with such grand scope, that is a genuinely good example of the genre rather than a fan service-fest, seemed too much to hope for.

This tale of a Hogwarts fifth-year joining and trying to unravel the mysteries of the school proved to be a triumph. There was some skepticism from the off when the Switch port was announced: How would such a big title translate? Technically, it’s more than competent, though pop-in and jagged visuals are present and correct as expected.

The biggest issue is the loading. Environmental details are scaled down or removed entirely, and entering an interior location will cause a lengthy loading screen (as will exiting again). If you’ve got a lot of shopping to do in Hogsmeade, this will quickly prove very irritating.
