10 INSULTING Nintendo Switch Games

There’s no doubt that Apex Legend’s port to Nintendo Switch was a real coup on paper, opening up the experience to a huge new pool of potential players. Sadly, those players would get a bit more, and considerably less, than they bargained for.

As a hero shooter battle royale, Apex blended some of the industry’s most beloved genres when it was launched in April 2019. These are games that demand technical skill, in which the difference between ultimate victory and a meager last-place finish can be just a well-aimed shot.

In terms of frame rate and general performance, Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch is still below par after multiple patches. Visuals are severely downgraded, and in addition, even those who aren’t concerned about technical issues will be negatively impacted by cross-play. This feature allows those who play on systems unaffected by these troubles to join them in matches, but as a result, Nintendo Switch players are at a severe disadvantage.

Yes, cross-play can be switched off, but having to do so proves how big the gulf in platform quality really is.
