10 Kart Racing Games You Won't Believe Exist
1. M&M's Kart Racing
We've seen spin-offs, we've seen TV and movie tie-ins, but now it's time for (shudder) the nauseating world of product-based video games.
Somehow, some way, EIGHT different M&Ms games have been produced in total, starting with M&M's The Lost Formula in 2000.
Fast forward seven years and we arrive at M&M's Kart Racing for the Nintendo Wii, a game that does exactly what it says on the tin in the same way that a tin of kitten poison does. (Editor's note: it's also a title so devoid of high-quality gameplay footage the only relevant image we could use was one of the box cover.)
Players can choose between five different colours of M&Ms to race as. What's the difference between each colour? No idea, but at least they put some 'effort' in with the character models.
The actual gameplay of this title leaves much to be desired, because there's literally nothing to do in the game but drive. No power-ups. No shortcuts. No drifting. Just holding the accelerator and turning the Wii-mote when you want to go round a corner. But hey, at least you have five different colours to look at while you slowly go mad.
It's no surprise that this game holds an actual Guinness World Record for "Lowest Rated Kart Game". If you're looking for alternatives to Mario Kart and Crash Team Racing, then this game, like eating too many of its titular characters, will leave you feeling a bit queasy and very regretful.
