10 Kart Racing Games You Won't Believe Exist

5. Muppet RaceMania

Muppet Race Mania
TT Games

Of all the games on this list, this is the one I want to play the most.

The Muppets have been entertaining audiences of all ages since Jim Henson first dreamt them up in 1955. In their time, they've conquered the world of film, TV, music, Christmas and have occasionally ventured into the world of video games.

One such game was the PS1 exclusive Muppet RaceMania, which hit shelves in the year 2000.

The game features a stacked roster of 25 different Muppet racers, including classics such as Kermit the Frog, Ms. Piggy, and Fozzie Bear, as well as lesser known Muppets like Link Hogthrob and Bobo the Bear. Sadly you can't play as Statler and Waldorf, objectively the best Muppets.

The game features tracks inspired by Muppets movies such as Treasure Island and Christmas Carol, and features six boss characters that can be taken on head-to-head in special battle races.

Its hard to find reviews for this game online, but, from the looks of it, it's a total blast. The Muppets lends itself perfectly to this sort of game; a huge cast of characters, a wide array of locations, and readymade power ups and special abilities. Sounds like a kart racer to me.
