Just when you thoughts things couldn't get any weirder than Antz...

For those who don't know, Woody Woodpecker is the star of several cartoons and animated series from all the way back in the 1940s. He was created by one of the co-creators of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, and was originally voiced by Mel Blanc, a legendary voice actor who lent his pipes to pretty much every Looney Tunes character you can think of.

Like every other property in animation, Woody is no stranger to the world of video games, with his most recent appearance in the medium being in 2012. Twelve years before that, some bright spark decided to combine the worlds of woodpeckers and kart racing to, erm, mixed results.

The game tried to innovate the genre by introducing different types of vehicles and giving each character a unique attack. Sadly, this really didn't bring much new to the genre and each of the nine characters felt way too similar to generate any sort of attachment from players.

Also, for a game aimed at children, this title is supposedly really hard to play, meaning it kind of had no idea who its audience was.
