10 Last Gen Games That Absolutely Must Come To Nintendo Switch
5. Batman: Arkham
As disappointing as it may be to hear, Batman: Arkham Knight is 100% not possible on the Nintendo Switch. With that out of the way, surely we're going to get the other Arkham games at some point. Surely?
Batman: Arkham Asylum is such an important game in history. That's something that can't be overstated; prior to Asylum we had so few decent superhero games - shout-out to Spider-Man PS1 - and expectations were perennially low. Rockstar bucked all the trends and traditions and delivered an incredible game that was a love-letter to Batman. Simply put: it changed everything.
Then came Arkham City, the natural evolution of the series that expanded the scope and improved the gameplay. It was proof that Rockstar didn't just get lucky, but that it's an immensely talented developer that just knows how to make great superhero games.
Now, the black sheep of the series is Batman: Arkham Origins. The game, not developed by Rocksteady, served as a prequel to tide us over between Arkham City and Arkham Knight. As is always the case with prequels and games not developed by the original developer, fans practically rejected Origins.
In hindsight, the OK reviews and middling fan reception is strange because Origins is actually a fantastic game with the best boss battles in the entire series, a good story, and a cool Christmas theme. It's a super underrated game and deserves a second life on the Switch with its brethren. A trilogy of batty adventures please.
