10 Last Gen Games That Absolutely Must Come To Nintendo Switch

4. Red Dead Redemption

Switch GTA
Rockstar Games

The time may have come and gone for a Red Dead Redemption remaster, and a release on the Switch may just bring to light that the sequel could never run on the hardware. However, a chance to play one of the greatest games of all-time on a handheld is still exciting.

Red Dead Redemption 2 may be Rockstar Games' magnum opus, but that doesn't detract from the masterpiece that was Redemption. The story of John Marston hunting down his former gang members for the government, while his family's life hangs in the balance is one of the greatest ever told in the medium. It's a story that holds even more gravitas after having witnessed Red Dead Redemption II unfold.

While Grand Theft Auto is mad-cap fun and action, Red Dead is epic and methodical. It's a masterclass in world-building, character development, and open world gameplay. Even now, almost a decade after it released, Red Dead Redemption is still excellent.

So why not bring it to the Nintendo Switch? Rockstar already brought L.A Noire to the Switch - another great game - and it sold well. While that may have been testing the grounds for interest in a sequel, that obviously wouldn't be the case with Red Dead. That being said, Redemption would sell like crazy on the Switch, and who doesn't love money? Come on Rockstar, let us be cowboys on-the-go!
