10 Legend Of Zelda Secrets You Still Haven’t Discovered

3. Star Fox's Arwing (Ocarina Of Time)

Zelda Link
Nintendo

Zelda: The Ocarina of Time included one of the most unlikely secret crossovers, though it's not so easy to unlock these days. The one and only Star Fox makes a flyby appearance in his Arwing, but only if you punch in a secret code on an old-school cheat accessory known as a GameShark Pro.

After entering the code, the anthropomorphic mammal looms into view in his spacecraft, but Fox and Link get off on the wrong foot. He will open fire with his laser canons, and Link can give him the same treatment with his projectile weapons.

Many GameShark users who discovered the Fox cameo back in the day assumed it was merely an Easter egg, included by Nintendo just for kicks, but it later transpired that the game's developers based the boss character Volvagia's movement patterns on the Arwing, and used the ship as a template during the coding process.

If you misplaced your old GameShark or never owned one in the first place, the only way too see this Easter egg within the game is with some serious coding know-how.
