Similar to Doctor Who, Star Trek has a ridiculously expansive history and mythology that TT Games could dig deep into to craft a series of games. From the original televised adventures of Captain Kirk and the crew of the USS Enterprise to the modern films and everything in between, the franchise has a wealth of material spread across a number of television shows, films, comics, novels and more that have all helped to turn Star Trek into a religion for its most diehard of fans. For younger fans, a game or series that celebrates everything Star Trek could be the gateway drug that finally leads them to taking time out to watch the shows or movies they've missed out on. For older fans, the inclusion of franchise actors like William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Patrick Stewart and so forth to take part in the fun would be icing on the cake. For now, though, such an adventure is boldly going nowhere. Hasbro began putting out sets related to the two recent films in 2013 through their Kre-O line and Lego hasn't made any indication of getting into bed with CBS (who owns TV rights) and/or Paramount (who owns film rights). Despite that, Star Trek is a massive piece of popular culture whose history would provide players a ton of Lego fun.
