While Psychonauts is receiving a hefty dose of attention due to its nifty VR game and upcoming sequel that is (supposed to be) released this year.

However, Psychonauts - at time of release - was considered a flop, criminally underselling the amount of copies it was expected to. While this fame can be seen to have slowly grown as the game became a cult classic, many came to it after it was considered at its platforming prime, and - though it's still one of the best games around - it can feel a little clunky to some players used to more modern titles.

This is exactly why Psychonauts needs a remaster. As the second game is being developed, the team have presumably crafted remastered versions of all your favourite characters, meaning half of the work has already likely been done.

Add to this an ability to fix the game's only real flaw - occasionally clunkiness in navigation - and you have possibly the perfect way to get new players who want to play the sequel up to date.
