5. The Next Batman Game Is Court Of Owls
It's been five years since Rocksteady released the conclusion to the Arkham saga. In that time, the studio has been rumoured to be making a game based on Superman and were even linked to the leaked Harry Potter RPG that surfaced back in 2019.
So, what exactly is Rocksteady cooking up next?
That much is unclear, but recently, reports have suggested that Warner Bros. Montreal is working on a Batman game of their own. Based on the acclaimed Court of Owls story written by Scott Snyder, the game is believed to star a younger Batman as he goes up against the shadowy organization. This means that characters like Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon may feature more directly than they were in previous titles.
Furthermore, the leaks indicate that this version of Gotham is more expansive and interactive than any virtual version of the city that we've seen yet. This could remedy some of the complaints about previous versions of Gotham, which featured very little in the way of citizens on the street.
If WB Montreal could produce a Batman game that had the same breadth as Insomniac's Spider-Man game, then we could be in very good hands.
