10. Discovering It Could Play CDs And Game Soundtracks
The CD generation of consoles weren't just consoles - they could play music CDs too. While the humble compact disc is the media equivalent of a washed up drug-addled rock star struggling to stay relevant today, back in the '90s they were a big deal. The PS1 was pretty good at it, too. In fact, it could even play some game soundtracks straight from the BIOS just in case anyone wanted to chill out in the bath while listening to the soothing, orchestral tones of the Tomb Raider score without having to pay for the official CD. Yay for cheapskates!
