3. Apps
Apps: they exist, and you can't escape them. They also happen to be fantastic, and make life a whole lot more manageable, and that's just talking about Smartphone apps. When we get in to talking about apps on your consoles, it's a whole different story. You have YouTube, Internet Browsers, Netflix, and I would be absolutely lost without my sports apps. Hockey Night In Canada on my Xbox is just as important to me as my NFL RedZone package I have with my provider. So much about this generation has been built around convenience that - And I know I've over used this - it really is hard to imagine not having these simple little integrated features. I don't know how many other people really bother with anything more than Netflix, but even that is a worthwhile addition to your console. There are others too, Crunchy Roll, Cartoon Network has one I believe, UFC, there is an app on your console for just about everything. If you're reading this, you probably know that already. Maybe you are one of the people that just scrolled passed them though, and if you are one of those, I would suggest correcting that. Try out a couple that might interest you, and I guarantee that they will seamlessly blend in with your everyday life as a gamer.
