10 More Infuriating Video Game Levels You Forgot You Hated

4. MJ & Miles Stealth Levels - Marvel's Spider-Man

As absurdly entertaining as Marvel's Spider-Man might be, the game reaches an undeniable nadir during the handful of stealth mission asides in which players take control of either MJ or Miles Morales.

For reasons that remain baffling in a Spider-Man game of all things, control is wrestled away from the web-slinger for some lousy stealth gameplay that's bad the first time and absolutely insufferable by the last.

The MJ and Miles missions are totally straight-forward, generic stealth missions where you need to avoid sound-making environmental hazards like smashed glass and cardboard, with instant-fail states if you're seen by any enemies.

It's not that the levels are particularly challenging, but that they're utterly pointless and unnecessary diversions in a game that should be entirely concerned with the wish fulfilment of playing as Spider-Man. They should've been optional side missions at most.

Thankfully Insomniac appeared to take the vocal feedback onboard, as the recent Miles Morales-led follow-up featured no such missions. Phew.
