10 More Video Games That Kill You In The First 10 Seconds

Revolution

Honestly, more people should play this game. Not only is it a wonderfully dystopian nightmare sci-fi, complete with rich lore and a fantastic setting, but it’s brutally intense, offering so many ways for main-man Rob Foster to meet his end.

Your goal in the game is to help free Union City from its AI overlords, and turn the horrible Black Mirror-esque techo-sprawl into the utopia that it was meant to be. The game uses a really clever branching dialogue system that rewards carefully thinking about situations and solving puzzles to get past enemies, making you really feel on the back foot throughout proceedings. And as you might expect, if the game wants you to be stealthy and think things through, it’s probably not best to walk directly down the stairs in the factory you start in.

Imagine that: Being told you’re the hope of humanity; a scientific genius, only to get outwitted by popping back down the stairs you just came up. Super Metroid, this ain't.
