10 Most Disappointing Games of 2012

4. Minecraft (Xbox)

Minecraft

An amazing game for the PC that has taken over many gamer's lives, Minecraft is great and a lot of fun,and it allows for anything to happen, mostly due to the constant stream of fun mods being produced. The PC version sold a load of downloads and raked in a lot of money, and so, naturally, to make more money and sell more downloads, it was made into an Xbox game - again, another idea that sounds great but didn't turn as us gamers had wanted. The best part about Minecraft is the ability to create or download a mod, which adds to the game and ensures that players are never bored. Sadly, there is no easy way to mod the Xbox game, thus making it less interesting and limited. It has potential and can be fun if mods were to somehow become DLC, but until then, I will be disappointed. And of course that will never happen, but the game is still lacking so much from the PC version. Besides the absence of mods (which is no one's fault), creative mode was also taken away. Personally I only play on creative mode on my PC and really felt like the Xbox version was missing something. Not only was creative mode non-existent, but regular mode was very restricted - the world was smaller and everything from building to crafting was harder. Minecraft on the Xbox wasn't terrible, but it could have been much, much better. It seemed more of a chore than the fun original game we all love.

An avid reader of films and TV shows, Costandinos Karalis enjoys nearly every genre and sub-genre known to mankind. His week usually consists of eating cereal and writing. Occasionally he will enter productive mode and actually do something, but until then, he keeps up-to-date on everything that Doctor Who and DC Comics have to offer.
