10 Most Disappointing Games of 2012
3. Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor
One word can describe the entirety of my play-through of this game: frustration. Between the terrible controls and rare checkpoints, you found yourself playing through levels at least fifteen times before getting it right. The game is also too heavily centered around the Kinect and that is where it fails: most of the controls are based on movements made by the gamer, such as moving your hands, which sounds like a fine concept, but the Kinect wasn't all to accurate when reading my motions, and that became increasingly frustrating in a game where every hit is crucial. Another terrible part of the game were the missions, they were repetitive boring, and didn't work all too well. Especially because of the AI. Friendly AI not only got themselves killed, but their terrible decisions often got you killed as well. The game is not worth any money you were to pay for it and I never want to feel the frustration of playing it again. It was a huge disappointment to the gaming industry, which failed in nearly every aspect.
