10 Most Hated Mobile Games From Great Video Game Franchises

4. Pokémon Rumble Rush

Fallout 76 gets a second mention on a list it doesn’t even feature on here, but it is helpful to explain the issues with Pokémon Rumble Rush. Many Fallout fans were sceptical even before release. If the series had great stories, and well crafted worlds, but slightly ropey mechanics and gameplay, why would you release a largely story-free online game reliant on said dodgy engine?

Rumble Rush is another such miscalculation, offering a tweaked version of the gym battle system from Pokémon Go that has never sat particularly well with fans of the series, but with none of the fun of its more superior mobile cousin, or main series games. Even other mobile games like the endearingly stylised Pokémon Quest or the simple charm of Magikarp Jump are streets ahead in terms of entertainment value, leaving this one at the bottom of the pile in terms of Pokémon mobile games.

Whilst if the last 25 years have proved anything, it’s that you can slap Pokémon branding on pretty much anything and make money, too many games like this would eventually see the whole brand devalued.
