9. Joe's Uncertain Fate In Mafia II
Vito and Joe are two sides of the same criminal coin in Mafia II. Friends since childhood, the two rise the ranks of the underworld together, with Joe's hot-headed temper and Vito's meticulous planning balancing each other out to create an incredibly effective gangster tag team.
Of course, like any good crime caper the two find themselves on the receiving end of the mob bosses they've been working for, after a couple of their schemes don't go to plan.
Cutting a deal to save their hides, Vito concocts a plan to have their debts wiped clean, pulling one last job that will keep them safe and out of the firing line in the future. It all goes swimmingly, and the final scene sees Joe and Vito get into two different limos, about to be ushered away from the city to a safe new location.
The only problem is, in the final moments Vito is told that the deal he made only guaranteed his own life, and the other car carrying Joe veers off down another direction as you slowly realise that you've sold out the only true friend that you ever had.
