1. Official 25th Anniversary Set
At the end of 2020 everyone was under the assumption that Shining Fates was the 25th anniversary set, which in itself was modeled from the Japanese set, Shining Star V.
In actuality Shining Fates was always planned for 2021 and the Pokémon company had something different planned. As of writing we know very little about the set except its definitely confirmed for August 17th 2021, it has the placeholder name of '25th anniversary special' at the distributors and the rumor is its going to functionally reprint cards from the original Neo sets in the same way XY-Evolutions took inspiration from the original Base Set.
The only confirmed product we currently have is the Elite Trainer Box and unlike the 20th anniversary set XY-Evolutions it wont specifically belong to the Sword and Shield era - its going to be a stand alone set.
If you want that endorphin nostalgia rush that can only be found from opening a pack of cards this is the set for you. Keep refreshing your favorite sites because this is going to sell out fast and unfortunately fall victim to the Pokéscalpers (yes this really is a thing).
