6. Fire Emblem Warriors
It’s an exciting time to be a Fire Emblem fan. We’ve gone from a complete drought a few years ago to several major instalments in the franchise, crossovers and spin offs. This particular title is the latter of the bunch, a spin off, handled by Koei Tecmo, the delightful team behind Hyrule Warriors and the long running Dynasty Warriors series.
Dynasty Warriors has often been a little scary to newcomers, with the multitude of playable characters and intense strategic combat scenarios, but pairing up the classic gameplay with a familiar, fan favourite franchise such as Fire Emblem could certainly help bridge the gap, and it’s safe to imagine that Fire Emblem players aren’t averse to a little bit of strategy.
The prospect of taking direct control of series staples such as Marth and Chrom is already pretty cool, but when you throw a boatload of other characters in the mix, it results in a game we just can’t wait to get our hands on.
