10 Most Satisfying Boss Kills In The Legend Of Zelda Franchise
5. Monk Maz Koshia (Breath Of The Wild)
The Sheikah ninjas are some of the deadliest foes
in Breath of the Wild. If you’ve never been walking around Hyrule and seen a friendly
stranger, only to realise it’s a deadly ninja who wants to fight, then frankly
you haven’t played the game enough. It was a real let down to then meet Master
Kohga, the acclaimed leader of these people who acts more as a comic relief
character.
However with DLC 2, Breath of the Wild fixes this by giving you an actually formidable opponent. After defeating the 5th divine beast, you approach the monk amongst blue light the same way as you always do at the end of the shrine. However, instead of offering you rewards, the monk moves and stands to reveal Monk Maz Koshia – the true head of the Sheikah.
This is probably the hardest boss fight in the game as the monk master has multiple fazes which all test your skill and ingenuity. Defeating this foe has Koshia acknowledging you as a true hero and feels very much like you have went from the student to the master. Furthermore, it rewards you with one of the best items in the game, only adding to the pure satisfaction of defeating this great opponent.
