10 Most Shameful Video Game Releases Of All Time
5. The Last Of Us (PC Port)
Many gamers thought the existence of The Last of Us remake was unwarranted, especially since the original wasn't a decade old at the time. However, it was a big deal for PC owners, since it was the first time Naughty Dog's beloved title would be available on Windows.
Sadly, PC gamers' joy shifted to outrage mere minutes after playing The Last of Us Part I. This disastrous remake barely functions, even if the specific system requirements are fulfilled.
Shaders are constantly drifting in and out. The loading screens take forever. Gameplay crashes with no warning. And when characters twist and bend as if they're in The Matrix, players don't know whether to laugh, cry, or scream.
What's worse is The Last of Us Part I was how many PC owners were introduced to the game - a game that's regularly regarded as perfect. But instead of experiencing a masterpiece, players had to endure Joel's caterpillar eyebrows and Ellie spontaneously dripping water.
Rather than recreating Naughty Dog's finest work, this port failed in every way possible, justifiably receiving the lowest MetaCritic rating in the company's history.
